Oszkar Nagy

A true generalist, always on the hunt for the magic which ignites a successful marriage of design and technology, whilst trying to push the boundaries of educational products, with a focus on solving real world problems.

Oszkar gained experience in all aspects of web design and development, working mostly on user facing parts of applications. He is fascinated by the role of affect, emotions and context in design, and the largely unexplored space in this area. He currently works for CARET, an innovation unit embedded in University of Cambridge and the Cambridge University Library. In this role he has worked on academic social networking projects using user-centered design methodologies, enterprise level open source learning management systems, various assessment and museum solutions and large scale digitalisation projects.

He also has an interest and experience in designing educational solutions for poverished parts of the World, and did extensive commercial Flash development on multimedia products in language and e-learning. Advisor and a founding trustee of Mayamiko Trust, a charity devoted to bring sustainable development to powerished parts of the world. In his scarce free time he enjoys playing the guitar and video games, travel and cook gulyás on open fire.
