Lihua Zhu is the first Arcadia Fellow. She joined the Cambridge University Library in 2004, and then worked in the Electronic Systems and Services division. Lihua is currently the Library's Digital Library Services Officer. She is in charge of the overall user experience design and web development of the library Web site and digital library projects. Her work includes user experience design, information architecture, interaction design, graphic design, user interface design, web standards coding, programming, database and more. She is interested in creating easy to use and intuitive user interface for digital libraries, and she is also passionate about using technology to aid collaboration and learning.
The focus of her Fellowship will be on combining aesthetic and functional aspects of web design for the new library service science@cambridge, hence to create better and greater user experience. She is also a keen photographer. She took up her Arcadia Fellowship in July 2008.
