Stefanie Hundsberger

The subject of Stefanie’s fellowship is foreign language learning in Second Life and the implications for resource provision in academic libraries. Foreign language learning is one of Second Life’s strong features and this research attempts to show whether academic libraries will need to make changes in their resource provision with the advent of this Web 2.0 tool.

Stefanie is currently the Faculty Team Librarian for Music, Drama, German Studies and Italian Studies at the John Rylands University Library at the University of Manchester. This is a secondment from her post as Cataloguer in the same institution.

Stefanie studied Information Management on an undergraduate level as well as postgraduate level at Manchester Metropolitan University and she had both work and study stints at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.

Outside work she can be found on a yoga mat or gardening!
